The structure of micro array holes is widespreadly applied in industries. The related processes include ultrasonic machining, electrochemical machining, laser beam machining, electronic beam machining, electrical discharge machining (EDM) and so on. Micro-EDM has been hot during the contemporary overseas and domestic micro machining researcher because of its advantages such as non-contact machining, cheap device and excellent adaptability and it is widely applied in the fields of electronic industry, aviation and astronavigation, medical equipment and die manufacturing and it has unique technical advantages and a brilliant application foreground in the field of micro manufacturing. Yet meanwhile there are some disadvantages in EDM manufacturing such as low speed, poor process stability. The overseas research indicated that it can enhance array holes'machining speed and process stability using array electrodes, but there is no domestic research about array holes and array electrodes in micro-EDM, so studying on the array holes and array electrodes'process has a very important meaning for comprehensive application of micro-EDM.Micro ultrasonic enhanced EDM technology of array electrodes and holes are researched in this paper. First, the mechanics of micro ultrasonic enhanced EDM is researched with the voltage waveform of manufacturing proceeding of the micro Ultrasonic enhanced EDM and it provide theoretical gist for the improvement of manufacturing efficiency and optimization of the processing parameters. Then the influence of the working voltage, the working capacitance, the array electrodes distance and the amplitude of ultrasonic vibration on the manufacturing efficiency of the array electrodes are researched in the method of orthogonal experiment. And the process time of the array holes manufactured by array electrodes is experimentally researched. On the basis of the research, the array electrodes with the diameter of 30μm and 5×5 array holes with the diameter of 40μm. At last, using MATLAB6.5 the working time of manufacturing array electrodes is emulated by artificial nerve network.
