Research On The Generation And Verification Technology Of NC Code In Machine Tool Of Bonnet Tool Polishing

Bonnet tool polishing with novel polishing tool and special motion trait is anew polishing method with bright future, for it provides a highprecision,efficient way for aspheric optical components'machining. To increase itsautomatization and control system's quality, machine tool of bonnet tool polishingis equipped with numerical control system which is achieved by PMAC. Becauseof the kinematic speciality of bonnet tool polishing, existing CAD/CAM softwarecan't be used to generate NC code. Related technologies on the generation andverification of NC code in the NC system of machine tool of bonnet toolpolishing are mainly studied in this paper.First, format of the cutter location file in the NC system of bonnet toolpolishing is studied which provides useful information for PostProcessing,including both process parameters in the process of polish and cutter path. Basedon the analysis of the motion mode and structure of machine tool of bonnet toolpolishing, mathematic model is established, Post-Processing algorithm is deduced and motion characteristics is analyzed.Second, criterions of NC code in the NC system of bonnet tool polishing areestablished, referred to the international general standards on NC code andtechnologies on the check of NC code are discussed.On the basis of above theoretic studies, software on the generation andverification of NC code in the NC system of bonnet tool polishing is developedwith Visual C++ programming tool, on SolidWorks graphic platform, withObject-Oriented method, which well solved the problem on the generation of NCcode.Because the NC system of bonnet tool polishing is achieved by PMAC, inorder to apply NC code on bonnet tool polishing machine tool, software isdeveloped which is used to convert NC code to PMAC code.At last, correctness and reliability of the NC code are proved by polishingexperiment.
