The technology of Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Manufacture is well developed and has been widely used in industrial production. Computer-Aided Assembly sequences planning, being an important part of Computer-Aided Manufacture, is significant in improving the product design, decreasing the product cost and shortening the production time. But it bas not been well developed. So the study of assembly sequences planning is very important. This paper presents the key technology of Computer-Aided Assembly sequences planning and a developed prototype system about assembly sequences plainning based on C/S-model. The research of this paper has certain academic value and practical significance in promoting enterprise's informationization. The following is the main achievements of this paper:1. The main system structure consists of base layer, data layer, tool layer, function layer, while the main function structural fame is provided by analyzing assembly informational model towards assembly sequences planning. This paper presents system information model by using the E-R graph tool, including the module of the E-R of assembly informational modeling, the module of the E-R of assembly sequences reasoning and appraising, and the module of the E-R of assembly process regulations.2. Some key technologies in CAASP are studied:(1) This paper sets up assembly informational model. Based on the secondary development of Pro/e, this paper presents hierarchical assembly informational model faced on assembly sequences planning. In the product assembly model, there are part information model, assembly relation model, and product structural tree model.(2) In order to resolve the difficulties of expressing data model...
