As an important index to measure the quality of assemble products, tolerance directly decides not only products' assemblability but also products' functions, quality and cost, so it's necessary to make some research on assembly tolerance analysis.The paper does some researches on the key technologies of tolerance analysis in detail, and mainly accomplishes the following tasks:At first, the paper introduces the knowledge of virtual assembly, based on which derives tolerance analysis, then the paper analyzes the function of tolerance analysis system, and makes a total design.Then, the key technologies of tolerance analysis are emphasized researched. Firstly, the paper researches database building faced to dimension chain, including assembly modeling, database tables building, assembly information extraction and storage based on information expression of part, assembly in UG. Then the paper does some research on how to auto-generate and calculate assembly dimension chain, including the search of link, the judgment of the increased links or decreased links, the obtainment of design function, and the generation of the picture of dimension chain.Finally, the paper develops a system of assembly tolerance analysis using UG secondary development tools and VC++, SQL Server and takes a solid assemble as an example to make a verification of the system.
