This paper take the self-rotating twisted tape as the research object, the goal lies in seeking an enhanced component ,it may enhanced heat transfer and removing/preventing foul on line , low cost, easy installation and removal , simple manufacturing processing, and has the good work effect and the practical application value.The paper introduces the present research situation in foul removing/preventing technologies of heat exchanger. The construction of the self-rotating twisted tape inside tube, its operating principle in automatically removing and preventing fouling on line and enhancing heat transfer are introduced. Summarized rotating characteristics, resistance characteristics, heat transfer performance through the analysis of experimental data.The preliminary of papers proceeded cold state and heat state experimental data measurements, including 20 sample, 800 group experimental data in cold state experiment and 9 sample 432 group experimental data in heat state experiment. There is a detailed analysis of the research in the rotational speed of the self-rotating twisted tape, the pressure of heat exchanger tube ends, the friction resistance coefficient of fluid, the total heat transfer coefficient, the coefficient of heat-transfer coefficient (The Wilson graphic solution is used to determine heat-transfer coefficient correlation). Structural parameters are leaded into correlations, summarized the rotational speed correlation of the self-rotating twisted tape, the correlation of the friction resistance coefficient, the total heat transfer coefficient correlation, the correlation of heat-transfer coefficient, and integrated assessment of relevance to the study of structural parameters have been quantified.The self-rotating twisted tape rotational speed is linear relationship with fluid flow speed through research; the pressure of heat exchanger tube ends is the secondary curve relations with fluid flow speed; the scope of experiments, The increase in the rate of the total heat transfer coefficient between 12%~62%. The self-rotating twisted tape have good effect on the total performance evaluation and extensive application prospect on project.
