Research & Application Of Garment Collar Model CAD Technologies

Garment design is the most available competitive power during the competition market of the garment filed. But the traditional garment design exist the long period ,high cost, resource waste , Just the Garment CAD technology solved this problem at present. Along with the developing of the DUMMY- PRAXIS technology, 3D GARMENT MODEL technology has been applied widely. This thesis base on the garment CAD's demand., States the research process of the 3D collar geometry model and relative technology , provide an basis for the garment sculpt and the cut pieces lay out.As an textile and the part of a garment ,the 3D collar design need to follow the principle and method .The thesis produce a series cut, seam and so on, and the collar's classify during the collar design . The stand collar and turn collar are representative, analyzing collar 's construction .The 3D collar's geometry model start from the collar line (seam line& top line) , according to the existing body model and the garment model , construe the collar's 3D geometry concretely , defined the characteristic point and size .According to the human's neck , set up the neck line sculpt elementary ,Base this point and the garment model's gridding , through the cut-annulus get the data point ,then use the curve replace the neck seam line , hence the collar link on the garment model. The characteristic point and size on the neck line ensure the authenticity and integrality of the collar geometry .The thesis use the special method , according to the collar line form the obdurate area, trigonometry gridding the collar 3D interspace curve-side , complete the collar model's initial sculpt.The transmogrification is the necessary skill to fit up the collar model . Through move the point to change the neck top line, the collar model metamorphose accordingly .Base on the collar's construct according to the different effect of the neck line ,designed the collar line transmogrification three methods . first : the neck seam line , move the 3D model point to change the collar; Second, according to the neck width ,designed the 2D neck line transmogrification skill; Third, Designed the special size dialog box to amend the parameter . The three different edit method , achieved the collar transmogrification completely.The 3D collar geometry sculpt is one high disperse model, during the transmutation process, exist collision phenomena largely.
