The embedded numerical control system, which is based on the ARM chip and Linux operation system, is a high integration of ARM technology, embedded operation system and the NC machining technology. It is an exploration of the combination of the NC machine movement control technology and the embedded computer technology. The main focus of this paper is the development of the Man-machine Interface (MMI) program of the embedded NC (ENC), which is an important part of the embedded NC system.The focus of this paper is to design and develop an embedded NC man-machine interface program with independent intellectual property rights. This study is going to cover two key aspects: first, the structural composition of the software and hardware of the embedded NC system as well as the realization plan; second, the design and development of the embedded NC MMI program.Chapter 1, Exordium. This chapter presents a picture of the developing course and the trend of the NC technology and the embedded technology, and also the MMI program of the embedded NC,both home and abroad. Then the research focus and significance are put forward.Chapter 2, the main structure of the embedded NC system. This chapter carries out the demand analysis of the NC system, and also the structure analysis of the embedded NC, both hardware and software. And it also focus at the embedded Linux operation system and the structure of the embedded NC MMI program.Chapter 3, the software developing mode and developing environment of the embedded NC. This chapter distinguishes the conventional software development from that of the embedded system. It attempts to deal with at the issues of cross compiling of the ARM Linux core, remote debugging, and the debugging and application of qvfb Server of Qt/Embedded.Chapter 4, the function module analysis of the embedded NC MMI program. It aims to cover the three components of the embedded NC MMI: the Graphical User Interface, the universal NC code compiler and the cutter radius compensation.Chapter 5, the realization of the embedded NC MMI program . From the angle of object-oriented technology, the chapter illustrates an investigation of the object modeling, script programming, and function module of embedded NC system.
