Abstract:Machine tool interpolation processing is one of the important means of modern machinery manufacturing industry. In various of mechanical processing methods, grinding process has high grinding precision and machining efficiency.And with the development of the industry, grinding is found wider and wider application. And numerical control technology is the basis of manufacturing automation, flexibility, integrated production. Realizing numerical control in machine tools and production process is development direction today, and it’s also the focus of research at home and abroad.NC machining interpolation pre-processing is the controlling basis of numerical control system, It decides the quality of numerical control system. We can say that, the study of NC interpolation pre-treatment has important theoretical and realistic implications for the entire numerical control processing technology. Pre-treatment technology of grinder CNC system includes NC code interpretation, tool compensation, speed processing, and other auxiliary functions, etc. This article mainly aims at decoding, tool radius compensation, grinding pretreatment.By the research of the current development situation of the interpolation pre-processing at home and abroad, This text build an open numerical control system for the seven-axis numerical control tool grinder, with industrial control PC to be the upper computer, and GTS series motion controller of Googol to be the lower computer. In this paper, the main research focuses on realizing several preprocessing software modules,such as the NC code interpretation cutter radius compensation and grinding pre-treatment,etc.Firstly, it discussed the overall architecture of CNC system,according to processing character.With function module for the unit, weakened the coupling between each function module, so that we can focus on the study of the implementation of the function module itself;Secondly, it discussed the designing schemethe for software developing according to their function features. Based on the Windows operating system, it designed software development plan by the method of object-oriented programming,and it developed a friendly graphical user interface;At last,it takes research on2-d cutter radius compensation, using the direction vector concept,and got the tool center path point coordinatesby geometrical calculation and algorithm implementation.And it’s applied to the cutter compensation for logarithmic curve in grinding process.From the perspective of the grinding operation results, we know that these preprocessing modules designed can meet the needs of complex cutting tool type surface processing. At the same time, as to the design, the development efficiency has been observably improved dues to the idea of software modularization designing.
