Jiang huai L4S2000―MBC xiao song press is more advanced one in the world now. It is the first large-sized multi-link press made in China as well. There are some difficulties such as high requires of processing precision, small clearance grooves, teeth cutting and the same phase etc. for the double herringbone gear shaft of main transmission system of the press upper support. All of these are the main obstacles of the press making in our country.Therefore,in this paper the motion analysis of crank rocker sliding-block for L4S2000―MBC xiao song press is finished first, and then the equations of the displacement, velocity and acceleration of sliding-block are given, finally the motion curve of sliding-block is present. It is demonstrated in theory that the press has good function curve, big initial working pressure and high operating efficiency. Beginning with the main affecting factors about the motion precision of press, the causes about the difference of phase angle of crank rocker and the influence about the difference of the phase angle on the motion precision are analyzed. According to the error distribution principle the phase precision of gear shaft is given.Based on analysis of the machining difficulties of herringbone gear shaft, the same phase machining theory of the gear shaft is presented. By analysis, the specific process measure and the process parameters of the same phase gear shaft machine are given. The main factors resulting in the phase error of the gear shaft are given, and the efficient measures and the check results about phase error of correcting herringbone shaft are given as well.
