Polyphenylene Sulfide is one kind of high performance plastics, which was industralized began the middle of 1970s. PPS has many excellent mechanical and processing properties, but its disadvantage of poor toughness limited its use in many areas. For this reason, to improve the impact strength of PPS becomes the study focus in the field. By filling and blending with nano-SiO2 and silicone oil, this paper investigates several systems' mechanical properties and phase morphologies.The thesis consists of two parts: Firstly, we focuse on the effects of the molecular weight of silicone oil, the percentage of vinyl group in silicone oil, the content of silicone oil and DCP, the preparing way on the mechanical properties and phase morphologies of the silicone oil/PPS composites. Secondly, the effect of different preparing way on the mechanical properties and phase morphologies of SiO2/Silicone oil/PPS composites are discussed.Following conclusion are made:1. Prepared silicone oil/PPS composites with good toughness, but its flexural strength dropped slightly. Concluded from the TGA and DSC that this material has good heat-resistent property, the heat decompose temperature is 496.2℃.2.
