It is a pop themes to improve the performance of Poly(aryline sulfide)(PAS) by changing of its chemical structure. There are two ways to change its chemical structure. One is changing the main chain by embeding some polar functional groups, for example—SO2—,—CO—etc. And gained the product of PPSS and PPSK. Another is changing the lateral chain via joining some groups ,for example—CN. The PPCS was gained. All of the homologous compounds of PAS have good resistance to heat.(1) Changing the lateral chain by—CH3A new type of PAS resin: poly(2,5-dimethyl)phenylene sulfide(DMPPS) was synthesised by oxidative method . Dichlorodisulfide and p-xylene were used as raw material, and DDQ was used as catalyst. The results of IR Spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy and X-Ray diffraction showed the resin was crystal, linear and non-double sulfur bond . But the result of thermal analysis showed the resin had low melt point, and had tow structure.(2) Changing the main chain by quinolineIn this part, phenylene was insteaded by quinoline in the main chain of PAS for the first time. A new type of polyaryline resin—Polyquinoline sulfide(PQS) was researched and synthesized . PQS was expected to involve the excellence of PAS and PQ.In order to simplify the step of the experiment, 4,7-dichloroquinoline was choiced as raw material. The effect of solvent, catalyst, monomer ratio, reacting time...
