Flocculated cement structure enclosing lots of water can be found in cement paste, which will influence fluidity and strength of concrete. At present, flocculated cement field lacks of research, having not found something about size, distribution, microcosmic as well as properties of flocculation particles. Cement fluidity is the only macroscopically standard for flocculation. In order to change this condition, this paper find a new way to research flocculated cement from angle of microscopic structure and build a relationship of macroscopically property and microcosmic structure.Laser Fineness Gage and optical microscope are test tools and fractal is the base of theory. Distribution of flocculated cement in three-dimension space and microcosmic pattern are researched, at the same time a math model is built. Mechanism of flocculated cement has been concluded by comparison test. Relationship between flocculation structure and cement hydration are found through observation.Results show that: Flocculated cement is element of cement paste and encloses a larger number of water. It can affect cement hydration. Flocculated cement distribution and particle itself are self-similar structure, they belong typical fractal structure. The author calculates the fractal dimensions and find the rule of fractal dimensions and cement specific surface area, cement paste fluidity as well as water reducing ratio.This paper is basic research work, which will provide a new way for study of flocculated cement field.
