Solvo(hydro)thermal synthesis technique is an effective inorganic synthetic method to creat new phases in mild conditions. Low-temperature solvothermal technique is normally used to produce compounds having low-demension structures (0-D,1-D,2-D) which are metastable phases in thermodynamics. The synthesis polynary Chalcogenides have been received much attention in solid state chemistry. Their special physical and chemical properties related to low-dimension structures have a great potential applications in technologies. In this thesis, a rational solvothermal synthesis technique has been developed to synthesize the many quaternary Chalcogenides in which the structure and properties of [Ni(en)3]2Sn2Se6 have been characterized in detail. The compound [Ni(en)3]2Sn2Se6 crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca ,the unit cell parameters, a=15.2885(13) A, b= 11.9367(10) A , c= 19.2389(16) A ,v=3511.0(5) A3, R =0.0300, ωR = 0.0647. The crystal has 0-D structures which contains isolated [Sn2Se6]4- and [Ni(en)3]2+ are packed by electrostatic interaction. The effect factors of synthesis were studied in detail. On the basis, some new quaternary selenostannate, selenogermanate, thiostannate have been synthsized successfully. They were also charecterized by SEM-EDS, IR, XRD.
