Friction materials for car and truck disc brake pads are typically complex composites which can be transformed energy and provided stable friction performance over a range of operating conditions of vehicle. So, the properties of friction materials impact the operating properties and safety of machines closely and directly.With the development of the granulating equipment for friction materials, it is more possible to apply the granulating technology to the friction materials. Applying the granulating technology, granulating composite friction materials, this method, not only improve the environment and the working condition of labor, but also transfer the design of composite friction materials from the componential design to componential-structural combination design.In this work, through the testing development, mixing the kevlar fiber and steel fiber in specific proportion, a basic content of fillers was determined for the bakelite friction materials reinforced with composite mineral fibers. It was required that the filling materials should benefit friction and wear properties of friction materials stable, keep the materials an appropriate wear rate. The effects of these basic materials on the friction materials were analyzed and some correlate performance could be found. At the aspect of the fade and the average wear, the bakelite modified by the chemigum was better than the bakelite modified by the bunas; When mixing the kevlar fiber and steel fiber their"cooperation effect"happened easily, especially, in the proportion of one to four, the friction materials had the better tribology performance; It was demonstrated that Sb2S3 played a role of binding adhesive of friction materials in high temperature, which could reduce the content of the agglomerant, but it was a higher price material, mixing the petroleum powder and CuS in appropriate proportion would replace it in friction...
