The component of non-asbestos woven friction material is complex, and the various components influence the friction material are different. Therefore, using traditional methods such as orthogonal design experiments, we need to do many experiments in order to obtain the better results. Moreover, these design methods usually cause the research and development cycle to be long, the research cost to be high, the manpower and the physical resources to be enormous waste. In view of above point, this paper has conducted the research from following several aspects:1,This paper has conducted the research to the main caking agent phenolic resin modification of non-asbestos woven friction material.By using different content tung-oil,boric acid,tung oil and boric acid as well as the nano-palygorskite modified the phenolic resin, compounded the same density liquor of the four better kinds modified resin to soak the same white strap to make the woven friction material, using the DMS-1 constant speed friction wear testing machine to carry on the examination for the woven friction material, choosed the best modified resin-the double modified phenolic resin of tung oil and boric acid. Achieved the first step optimized point.2,This paper has established the practical model of the woven brake band composing.By comparing the each kind of the method of the experiment of arranging ,decided using the uniform design theory to arrange the testing method, enormously reduced the experimental periods. By analyzing the testing data, using the Spss software calculated the mathematical model, using Genetic Algorithm software to calculate the model and the result indicated that the model has obtainedthe forecast effect. Achieved the second step optimized point.3,This paper has made the friction and wear theoretical analysis to the woven friction material.Using the hot weightlessness and the scanning chart which obtained by modern instrument of the France's thermal analysis meter and Japan's scanning electron microscope, this paper carried on the hot decline and the wear theory analysis, had drawn the conclusion that the double modified resin's hot decline ability enhanced under the hot conditions. And the conclusion has built the foundation for the following research work.
