Resistance spot welding is one of the most important mechanical processes. It is extensively used in modern industry, especially in automotive and aviation industry for its high productivity, low cost and high-automation. With the technology developing, the request for the welding quality and reliability is increasing. Many experts in the world have study on the spot welding quality supervise and control technique for long time.In the last few years, the DRC control method had been put forward based on analyzing the adaptability of the simple threshold method. Recently, the IDRC control method has been put forward by means of the multi-information fusion control technique. IDRC control method adopts the control strategy of separately step that is made of constant current method control and DRC method control, so it canceled disadvantageous factor of constant current and DRC, embodies the merit of advantage mutual complement. IDRC control method organically combines with the fuzzy logical control rule on the basis of equivalence heat principle. Even significant heat wave has taken place in the welding, it still gets good effect.At present, the IDRC intelligent spot welding controller has been developed and used in teaching. However, the controller have a few weaknesses,for example: a great deal of programming parameter, the low efficiency of the programming, the complicated parameter level, and the great difficulty of modification parameter. Therefore, the paper wants to solve problems of IDRC intelligent spot welding controller about the programming and optimizing by means of expert system.In order to accomplish the object, the paper regards the material of automotive and aviation as engineering background, considers single–phase alternating current welder as control object, makes use of the AT mega168 microcontroller as control core, based on initial fruit of research about IDRC intelligent spot welding controller, concretely studies its appearance...
