Based on using hydrocyclone to separating active sludge to be concentrate when treat sewage, analyzed the force that act on particles and the results of numerical simulation under different concentration, discussed the main factors of promote the particles separate under different concentration, demonstrated the centrifugal force is the main force to promote particles separate, and the force of interaction between particles has a little effect on the particles under the scope of concentration of activated sludge. Study showed that the speed of sedimentation reduce lower than the speed of numerical calculate, but it is still that the diameter of particle is proportional to the square. The particles separate to acquire or maintain a monopoly centrifugal sedimentation. Therefore, the numerical calculation of the efficiency curve of particle classification has a good agreement with the classification efficiency curve that gained from experiment.Use the model of turbulent Reynolds stress and multiphase flow to establish the mathematical model of the hydrocyclone, do not need to give the entrance pressure for split ratio of hydrocyclone firstly, obtained the numerical solution of liquid-solid multiphase flow in hydrocyclone. Studied the solid particles cyclone separation under structural parameters and operating parameters of different hydrocyclone, the results showed that major factor influence split ratio is in the ratio of entrance to exit pressure of hydrocyclone. Exit pressure has a certain influence on the split ratio, the various of the diameter and cone angle of hydrocyclone (in the ratio of entrance to exit pressure is constant) have no influence on split ratio; With diameter and cone angle increase, the separation granularity gradually increasing and recovery ratio decreasing; With entrance pressure increase, the separation granularity of hydrocyclone decrease, the split ratio of underset will increase slowly; With the diameter of overflow pipe increase, the separation granularity of hydrocyclone increasing and recovery ratio decreasing; With the diameter of underset pipe increasing, the separation granularity of hydrocyclone decreasing and recovery ratio increasing. Studied the turbulent multiphase flow of sludge sewage in hydrocyclone with numerical simulation and experiment, obtained the law of structure parameters and operating parameters of hydrocyclone to have some influence on the property of particle classification.
