With the rapid economic development, the sharp expansion of population, and the acceleration of urbanization process, groundwater pollution became serious day by day. It led to decrease for water resource, which can be used, intensify water resources crisis, and influence economic development, also brings up dangers for eco-environments and human health. These problem also exit in coast area, excessive dumped fresh groundwater bring on serious salt intrusion problems, it may groundwater pollution more serious. Laizhou city lies on the east of Laizhou Bay, it's a model of the salt water intrusion area. So we choice Laizhou city as study area in order to find the groundwater vulnerability problem in coast area like as Laizhou, offer science reason for set up protect measure.The contents of this paper are as follow:Firstly, this paper analyzed the current situation of the concept, classification, influencing factors, assessment methods on groundwater vulnerability at home and abroad, and point out some problems exited in groundwater vulnerability researches.Secondly, study and analyse the nature, hydro-geological condition, groundwater quality and salt water intrusion state. By the investigation of the field and analysis of water samples, the results showed that the saltwater intrusion is the most important problem to affect Laizhou groundwater vulnerability.Thirdly, detailedly analyse the factors for groundwater vulnerability, include relief, substrate, climate, groundwater exploitation, groundwater quality and pollution resource etc add in six factors. The result show that different factor has different degree to affect the groundwater vulnerability, also the relation which factors and vulnerability are not simply positive correlation or negative correlation, it could be confirmed by the exterior factor and the character of theirself.Fourthly, this paper use RAGA-FPR(Fuzzy Pattern Recognition based on RAGA, RAGA-FPR) model to estimate the groundwater vulnerability.
