Great puzzle the human being are facing is energy crisis at 21st century. It is urgent affairs that search a new energy to substitute for oil, so natural gas which are very abundant in the nature is a investigative hotspot. Methane is main constituent of natural gas. Because methane reacting condition is severe in the course of conventional catalytic conversion and oxidative coupling, and there are some disadvantage of high airspeed, great energy consumed and low methane conversion on chemical industry of methane, it is becoming a global researching work which seek after a new path of methane conversion.With the development of strong electric field, it is a new path of methane unconventional conversion. An electric field is formed by strong ionized discharge in the plasma reactor with reduced electric field intensity exceeding 400Td, average electron energy higher than 10eV. Methane, oxygen and water molecules are activated into plasma state, then reset to form new material. Following the key NSFC Project "Studies on Method and Application of Ionizing Gas Molecules with Strong Electric Field at High Pressure" and the international and internal focus of methane conversion, this paper studies CH4, O2 and H2O plasma synthesis by strong electric field at green condition.At the condition of room temperature and atmospheric pressure without catalyst, when total flow of methane and oxygen is 1000mlVmin, methane conversion is keeping up to 70%, reaching up to 81.1% in the best. The addition of oxygen increasingly improves methanol yield, reaching up to 12.33% when oxygen content is 18.26%. The addition of water improves C2H4 yield, reaching up to 15.36% when water content is 1.47%. there is a max of methane, methanol and ethene when voltage is 1850-1900V. Methane conversion falls with decrease of consumed power.The experiment uses CH4, O2 and H2O as stuff and synthesizes the high value chemical material methanol and C2H4 using strong electric field.
