Desulfuration technologies of typical non-equilibrium plasma have many questions such as high cost, irradiation, NH3 adding, secondary pollution, low electron energy. So it is addressed to the method of the removal of SO2 using strong electric field ionization discharge in this paper, which is based on the key NSFC Project "Studies of Method and Application of Gas Molecules Ionized with Strong Electric at High Pressure Field" (No.: 60031001). It is a kind of new resourcify technology.Using the Strong Electric Field Ionization discharge technology, Electric field intensity is high than 400Td, a great part electron obtain excitation energy which can satisfy the needing energy of chemical reaction energy. H2O and O2 are ionized to free radical OH , eaq, SO2 is oxidized to H2SO4. So studied some affecting factors in the experiment such as: excitation voltage, excitation frequency, excitation power, SO2 initial concentration, H2O concentration, resident time and analyzed pruduct.The experimental results show that SO2 can be removed without catalyzer, absorbent and other substance at the gas running temperature. The efficiency of SO2 removal increase when excitation voltage, excitation frequency and excitation power increasing, while dropping SO2 initial concentration, increasing H2O concentration and resident time, the SO2 removal is high. The efficiency of SO2 removal can attain to 100% under the feasible conditions that realized zero pollution discharge. In addition, the analytical results of experimental product show that sulfur acid of high concentration is produced, which realizes the pruduct resourcify in sulfur removal and helps to solve the development of energy sources and the sustainable development of national economy in our country.
