This topic aiming at the shortage of traditional Horizontal Screw Decanter, having combined a more mature hydraulic comparison technique nowadays and adopted two sets of pump-control-motor drive system, makes Horizontal Screw Decanter realize rotor drum and screw stroker's speed arbitrary adjustable, and also attains the request periodic variation in speed. The system attains precise control on speed through closed-loop control system and makes Screw Decanter adapt various material of high accuracy separation.Firstly, according to the function request of Horizontal Screw Decanter, the principle diagram of hydraulic system has been already designed.Secondly, according to the principle diagram of hydraulic system, static design has been completed with using the methods of traditional hydraulic system's static design. The problem of the practical control accuracy should be noticed in choosing the type of components.Thirdly, this topic mainly divides the system into two mock-ups to build the foundation of the math model: the math model building of pump-control-motor and the math model building of four-direction-valve-control-cylinder. After building the math model of Horizontal Screw Decanter system, and characteristic analysis of dynamic was made. Then the software of MATLAB was used to make simulation and the speed closed-loop step response curves of rotor drum and screw stroker had gained.Lastly, according to the speed closed-loop step response curve of rotor drum and screw stroker, pole- configuration self-adjustment PID control method was adopted. Through MATLAB simulation, the speed closed-loop step response curve was gained.Through analysis on the speed closed-loop step response curve of self-adjustment PID control system, some conclusions had turn out: the cures have no super adjust, the stability is better, and the rising time is obviously shorter. The response speed of system and the offset of slower response speed's defect of the former system had improved.
