The desulphurization of molten iron is very important in the production process of steel, it is also a complicated chemistry and physics change process in the practical production. As the controlled object has the characteristics of great delay and nonlinearity, we can't control the production process very well by the traditional control method. The system which has been improved primly combine the practical production and the advantage of expert system and fuzzy control, it can commendably overcome the difficulties such as great delay, nonlinearity and the foundation of exact math's model, it not only have the expert system's ability of solving high-level problem, but also have the fuzzy theory's ability of solving uncertain problem.This paper introduced the control method which connects the expert system with the desulphurization process of molten iron, and abstract the expert knowledge which was derived from the expert experience as the rule, and then combine it with the correlative parameter of scene, getting the control rule by fuzzy logic illation accordingly control the whole system. The communications method of this system can be divided into two kinds. The desulphurization scene equipments use the Profibus communication protocol and is connected with PLC, PLC communicate with CRT by Ethernet TCP/IP protocol. The scene equipments' control is achieved by using Siemens S7-400 PLC.
