Research And Development Of New Collectors To Concentrate Molybdenum

Lamp kerosene was adopted as collectors to concentrate molybdenum in Jing Dui Cheng Molybdenum Group Ltd. But it has some disadvantage, such as low chemical active, dissolving in water, not easy dispersing in ore pulp, antifoaming; that cause the foaming agent amount arising, make cleaning foams sticky, and hard to control flotation process. Moreover the consumption of other plants more and more lowing, the lamp kerosene will withdraw the market, and the price of kerosene is arising. The supply is difficult and bring potential market crisis to enterprise. It is a important subject to find new collectors to improve the economic and technical indexes.To find new, non toxic, high performance collectors of concentration molybdenum, the technical data of new agents was searched, collaborated with Zhong Nan University, the study on new agents was carried. About 20 species agents, such as kerosene, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, transformer oil, coal tar, Art Syntex(emulsifiers), plasticizer Dop, xanthate, thionocarbamates, XF-3, N132(1) & N132(2) which is the series of N-132, and 5 agents of series of TB, which was in proved by Mac-20, were carried optimizing and . selection test. TBC114, which can produce fragile, samll and uniform bubble, and need not frother 2# oil, is first recommended.TBC123, which can improve recovery rate, is second recommended.The consumepation of agents of whole processing were compared, and the amount of depressor is almost same under different species of collectors, it believed the cost of depressor was same. The costs of using kerosene & 2# oil, TBC123, TBC114 were compared, they were respectively 0.66 yuan/t and 0.25 yuan/t. it can save 2.7 million yuan for company if applying TBC114 and can reduce the pollution by using kerosene. Thus it can be seen that The economic benefit and the benefit of environment are obviously well by appliying the research achievement.
