2D design converts to 3D design realized the revolution of the mechanical designing. Parametric model is the important feature of the 3D Design. Common Database has been shared when design process was carried out. Top Down design fits for product-lines design especially. The performance of the product can be feedback by 3D CAE software. Engineer can improve the product's quality by the assistant of 3D FEA (Finite element analysis) software. Plastic injection molding machine belong to typical product-line, with the assistant of the 3D design software, the designing efficiency would be multiplied several times. To the performance of the important and complex parts of the machine, Analysis and improvement can be made by the helps of FEA software. How the designing process of the injection molding machine be realized by these software is introduced by this paper(including 3D designing of Clamp Unit ,FEA of the important parts , Topology optimization, motion analysis etc.). At the same time, the formulas of Moving paten stroke-to-cylinder stroke ratio, Power-enlarge ratio, Deform force about diagonal five-point inversion double-toggle clamp unit are deduced. The relative figures have been polten by MATLAB. The relative MATLAB plot programmes have been given also. With deform force formula and Power-enlarge ratio formula, the formula of clamping cylinder diameter is deduced. The influence of the rigidity of clamping unit and mould to the performance which clamping unit resistant open force generated by injection during plastic filling mould is studied. This paper proved important reference to the other enterprise in the mechanical field.
