At present, the annual output of waste tire in China is about 50,000,000. It is forecasted that China will became the largest auto market in 2020, and the output of waste tire will be one of the largest in the world. In 2002, State Economic & Trade Commission enacted"The 10th Five-Year developmental programming of recycle and utilization of renewable resources". It mentioned the guidelines,development goal,development emphases and chief countermeasure of recycle and utilization of renewable resources. State Economic & Trade Commission constituted the recycle and management method of waste tire. How to take full advantage of larger number of waste tire and improve environment is the urgent task of world.In this paper, the method of combusting waste tire by using fluidized bed is come up. The combustion and fluidization characteristic are studied by test. On the base of test, waste tire combustion characteristic in fluidized bed are simulated by choosing reasonable computer simulation models.Combusting characteristic of waste tire is studied by thermo-gravimetric analytical method. Test results show that waste tire is suitable for combusting because of its trait of low kindling point and rapid-velocity combustion. In additional, influence of heating rate and particle diameter on combusting process is studied. Combustion kinetic parameters of waste tire are computed, and combustion mechanism is gained too.Fluidization characteristic of waste tire particle and mixture with silicon sand is studied by cold-state test. Minimum fluidization velocity and fluidization property curve are attained. Study results show bed heights make no difference to fluidization characteristic, whereas particle diameter has great influence on it.
