Wettability is an important property of solid surface which is governed by the surface chemical composition and geometrical structures. Superhydr- ophobic surface, with water contact angle larger than 150, has attracted more and more interest because it will bring great convenience on our daily life as well as in many industry processes. Conventionally, there are two methods to produce the superhydrophobic surfaces. One is to modify the low surface energy stuff on the surface; the other is to produce mico and nano- structures on the surface. In this paper, we reported two kinds of methods to produce superhydrophobic surface. Experiment results show that surface structures can greatly influence the hydrophobicity of the surface.1. Al2O3 Template MethodThe Al2O3 template with nano structures was used as the template, and capillary Lithography and temperature induced Capillary Template Wetting Method were used to produce the superhydrophobic polystyrene surfaces with mico- and nano- structures. The influence of the surface structures and the materials on the wettability of the prepared surfaces was studied systematically. The best parameter for produce superhydrophobic surface on the polystyrene surface was discovered.2. One step solution immersed method The superhydrophobic Ni surface was fabricated by one step immersed...
