Shaftless drives are new scheme for the drive system of printing machines. Controller which provides hardware platform for system is the core of shaftless drives. Not only shaftless drives controller can accomplish synchronize motion control for multi-servomotors, but also some process control with characteristics of printing process. The competitive power of printing machine with shaftless drives which made in ours country can be enhanced by developing shaftless drives controller and holding the key technology of shaftless drives. The design scheme of universal motion controller can be used, for example, adopt DSP+CPLD and ISA bus, industry PC as control platform, and add external equipments with the need of project. The keystone of project is design of hardware. The logic and timing must be correct, and achieves hardware test and accomplishes basic function of shaftless drives. The controller provides hardware platform for printing process control.The main works are as follows:(1)Analyze control topology of shaftless drives. The fit control topologies which are Synchronized Master Reference and Electronic Line Shaft are simulated and analyzed.(2)Analyze the structure of shaftless drives system and key technology.(3)Analyze hardware form of shaftless drives controller and develop the motion controller which is used shaftless drives. This controller can accomplish multi-axes synchronize motion control and provides hardware platform for printing process control. Perfect function, steady performance and extensible are keystones of the project.(4)Develop driver, function programs and parameterized supervisory software. The Real-Time Kernel uC/OS is transplanted to DSP. The driver programs are developed by WinDriver. The control software is developed by VC++6.0.(5)Experiment. The multi-axes motion controller PMAC is replaced by the motion controller of this project and test the ability of synchronize motion control.
