Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are sort of anionic layered materials with anion exchanging ability and show wide application prospects in the fields of catalysis, pharmaceutical, environmental protection and functional additive agents etc. Recently, the research work of preparation with supramolecular assembly theory and extension of application fields are proceeding, we also do the same work.We prepared MgAl-LDHs precursor with high crystallinity and crystal phase singularity by coprecipitation method and organo-LDHs with supramolecular structure through precursor and a series of fatty acid and aromatic acid anions guests by intercalation and assembly, have a systemic analysis on the relationship between the composition, the structure and the property of the products by experimental conditions, research on interaction mechanism of host-guest and supramolecular structural model, and study on SA-LDHs application with UV absorption and UV shielding.The results of the experiment show that the common experimental conditions of pH, temperature, solvent and drying method etc. have great effect on the purity, crystallinity and extent of reaction of the products. The self assembly process of the different precursors and a series of organic anions are affected mainly by organic anion arrange in interlayer and reaction temperature.The products have been charactered by XRD, FT-IR, Atomic absorption and electrochemical analysis etc. on composition, morphology and structure of samples. The results show that the initial interlayer carbonate ions the LDHs precursor can be completely replaced by the salicylic acid (SA) anion under controlled conditions. Especially studies on the electrochemical behavior of SA-LDHs modified glassy carbon electrode, that is a good supplement of common characterization methods by different interlayer electrochemical activity anions and have great reference value on extension of application fields.The XRD results show that the products have similar crystal appearances to their precursors and with a high extent of reaction. These demonstrate that the interlayer distance depends on the arrangement of the organic anions, their size, and the composition of the brucitelayers, the extent of reaction and the structure of the interlayer organic anions.The UV results show that SA-LDHs have good ultraviolet shielding like precursor and ultraviolet absorbability like SA and the capability is enhanced due to host-guest and the interaction of host-guest, the thermodynamic stability SA-LDHs has a strong improvement with precursor and guest, so have a wide application prospects on ultraviolet protection field.
