Because the resources in the world are exhausting and the environment becomes deteriorated, The research about environmental equity has been developed in many countries. The earth is in great need of the strategy of sustainable development. Environmental equity is the chief principle of sustainable development. So the study of environmental equity is highly emphasized. This paper begins with the origin of environmental equity to discuss some related theories from the angle of intragenerational equity (including native equity and international equity) and intergenerational equity. Foreign and civil specialists have put forward some environmental equity theories. Firstly, the paper concludes all of the theories and then draws conclusions on basis of them. Secondly, , the author puts forward further ideas to improve the theories partly according to the environmental situation and the author's research. On basis of the analysis and research and the phenomena of environmental inequity in China, the paper analyses the environmental policies of China that deviate from the evaluation of environmental equity and find that there are drawbacks in Chinese environmental policies from the angle of policy courses: policy formulation,policy-making,policy implementation,policy series, and so on. From above, the author puts forward several proposals for Chinese government on how to realize environmental equity. in the proposals, policy courses, equal storage, population, environmental fund, environment resources property right, district compensation, international environmental cooperation, etc. The methods are due to realize environmental equity and accelerate sustainable development.
