Silicone-modified organofluorine resin emulsions are the main materials of fluoro-silicon coatings, which have good water-resistance, oil-resistance, weather-resistance, stain-resistance, thermal-stability and chemical-stability. There are wide foreground to apply the emulsions in many fields such as coatings of buildings, protecting coatings in industry, fabric handle agents, coatings of automobile and spaceflight etc. Two kinds of the organosilicone-modified polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) emulsions were synthesized in this paper.1. The polydimethylsiloxane microemulsion was prepared by emulsion polymerization method in the presence of the composite emulsifier of CTAB/OP-10 or DBDA/OP-10. The microemulsion has smaller particle size, long standing stability, higher solid content and higher monomer convert rate. The results indicated that the solid content could be up to 36% at temperature of 70~80℃, in the rang of the emulsifiers concentration of 0.7% ~0.9% and pH of 11.The emulsion was investigated by IR, DSC/TG, TEM, solid content etc.2. The PCTFE emulsion was synthesized using both APS and perfluorodiacyl peroxide as initiator.CTFE was fed continuously or semi-continuously. Its reaction time was greatly decreased when the perfluorodiacyl peroxide initiator was used in the emulsion polymerization. The PCTFE emulsion was investigated by IR, TG, TEM, solid content etc.3. Based on the results of chapter 2 and 3, D4-modified PCTFE emulsion was prepared by core/shell technology. The polymerization was investigated in the monomer ratio, feeding, the initiators and the stirring rates that would affect the polymerization process and the standing stability. The results showed that under following conditions we can obtain the stable D4-modifed PCTFE emulsion of smaller particle size. The emulsion polymerization was carried out under the monomer ratio of 1.0: 1.0,semi-continuous or continuous feeding, at the stirring rate of 400~700r.m.p. Its reaction time was greatly decreased when the perfluorodiacyl peroxide initiator was used in the emulsion polymerization. The emulsion...
