According to the desire of the design and manufacture on down-hole tools in oil product system, based on SolidWorks 2006 platform, in Visiual Basic 6.0 environment, by using the method of object oriented programming, a design and simulation platform on down-hole tools based on SolidWorks is developed,visual,parametric,automatic designing,assembly,buliding of drawing,virtual simulation and some other fuctions on down-hole tools are realized.The application of visual technique on down-hole tools is a important tache in oil field,but for the moment,this field is still vacancy at home.This paper combines the production and practice experience for many years in oil field,by analysing and summarizing plenty of drawings on down-hole tools, distills the unique character in figure, applying the parametric theory in character, makes the character parametric;giving the whole designing blue print of the platform and some key technique for its realization;deeply researchs the funtions and the realizable methods of the funtion modules of the platform,what's more,gives the original codes of the key programs;the practicability and dependability is validated by an actual example in the end.This paper pays more attention to change the traditional working mode in design and simulation on down-hole tools in oil fields,providing to the designers a more convenient and fast design and simulation platform.The application of visual technique and the development of key funtion modules lightens the design workload, shortens the design cycle and heightens the design efficiency.The research of this paper can offer precious reference for the design and simulation on down-hole tools and for the design mode and the methods in its correlative fields, definitely is a original creation.
