In this paper, a kind of blend electrical conductive fiber, using carbon black as conductive medium and polyurethane as polymer matrix was studied in order to connect the function of conductive fiber and flexible fiber to one, as usual, the proportion of conductive and flexible fiber are small in textile that is fit to tradition textile. At present, adding nano-additive into polymer and endueing polymer new function are the research focus in material. The key is how to disperse the inorganic nano-material into polymer homogeneity. The black carbon/polyurethane blend conductive fiber was obtained by melt-spinning and solution-spinning and was analyzed and discussed in the conductivity and mechanism.In the melt-spinning, if the black carbon was pre-treat that the face of fiber is slippery, the property of draw is good, the conductivity of the fiber is improved with increasing the content of the carbon black in the blend conductive fibers, but the property of mechanics and spinnability of fibers are descendent. the content of dispersant also has some effect on conductivity of fibers, when the carbon black is 13%-16%, the conductivity and property of mechanics of fiber are better.In the solution-spinning, because the effect of solvent, the carbon black was dispersed well in matrix, so when the content of carbon black is too much, we also get good spinnability. the conductivity of the fiber is improved with increasing the content of the carbon black in the blend conductive fiber and the mechanism of fiber is also change with the content of carbon black's change. When the carbon black is about 20%, the conductivity and property of mechanics of fiber get well level. Otherwise, effect of the multiplying of stretch on elastic recovery and resistance of fiber is obvious, the elastic recovery and conductivity are descendent with the increase of multiplying of stretch.The fiber which made by solution-spinning via heat treatment, made the density of fiber was increased and the elastic recovery and mechanism were improved.
