| BL-environmental friendly fire retardant (BL) independently developed by Beijing Forestry University can be applied to produce fire-retardant textile. The paper focuses on the fire-retardant properties, strengthen property of the textile treated by BL, and the improvements of BL producing technics for the better application on textile. Its main purpose is to find out the best content of BL for textile and take effective measures to improve other properties of textile. Through experiments, optimized technics of fire-retardant treatment and BL producing technics will be found as well as the advantage and disadvantage of BL compared with other main fire retardants in the market. It is shown that:â‘ The fire retardant effects of treated Terylene is obvious, using 20% concentration of BL, the LOI is 38.1%, the lengthen loss is 114.13mm, and the strengthen loss is no more than 15%, meeting the requirements of B1 National standard;â‘¡by adding two additives can be better;â‘¢The color and moisture absorption proportion can be improved to some extents by adjusting BL producing technics, more suitable to be applied on textile;â‘£Through the contrast, BL is not inferior to other fire retardants in turns of property to stopping fire, and BL has a prospective future in market for its low cost and simple producing process.
