According to the water waste caused by no recycle of waste water in a molybdenum plant and high energy consuption, and more accidents existed in its tailings transportation system, through in-situ testing, theoretical analysis, correlation detection analysis, indoor small-scale test and industrial tests, the recycling metheods of waste water in plant, the condensing technique of tailings and the designs of condensation pond and transportation system of tailings with high concentration pulp through pressure pipe, were systematicaly investigated. it was presented the method for recycling waste water. The feasibility of tailings transportation with high concentration pulp was analysed carefully. In the paper, the reforming method of tailings transportation system and the application of new techniques and new materials were also studied. Through in-situ testing, analysis of relevant inspection and pilot industrial test, the equipment stuitable for this tailings transportation was gotten, the allocation of equipment and technology were improved, and the new wear-resistant materials with high excellent performance were adopted. Therefore, the efficiency and service life of equipment used were enhanced, the purposes of high efficiency and enery-saving for the reformed new tailings transportation system were achieved.Through the researches of waste water recycling from the plant and technique reform of tailings transportation system, the problems troubling the company for a long time , have been resolved, the targets of economy, security and no leakage of pollution have been achieved, the remarkable economic and social benefits have been obtained.
