As sharing 30% of moly production in China and 15% of moly export in the world moly market, Jinduicheng molybdenum industry co.ltd becomes the biggest molybdenum producing base in China. The grade of the moly concentrate is one of the most important technological and ecomomic standards, which plays the decisive role for the market competing ability of a company. Jinduicheng used to produce high moly concentrate with the grade about 52%(the most advanced level in domestic market), which still had a long distance to reach the world advanced grade about 54%, whereas the chemical industry expect moly concentrate with grade about 57%. Facing the keen market competition, to carry out the research on this subject is quite significant to the existence and development of the company. The aims of the research are to make the grade of the moly concentrate be stabilized above 54%, partly reached 57%, and recovery to 86.5%, and the quality of the products attains or exceeds the advanced level of the international moly industy.Nearly all the domestic and foreign companies use wet-metallurgy to refine high pure moly concentrate, while the problems of this method lie in the high production cost and serious environmental pollution. A better way is to adopt the flotation process. Based on the achievements of the present mineralogical research, the key point that influences the improvement of the concentrate grade is the unoptional adherence of the fine mineral grains and the pollution caused by the remaining flotation reagent. The research group carried out complete and systematical study around these problems. Firstly, intensify the roughing stage to reduce the amount of impure minerals brought to the cleaning stage, this provides the beneficial condition for getting high quality moly concentrate. Then remake the cleaning flow sheet, and reset the place of the re-grinding stage, and install further cleaning flotation and import the scrubbing technology, which effectively solved the contamination of the fine grain surface. All these create decisive condition for requiring high grade moly concentrate. Thirdly, study and adopt the combination of highly efficient depressors, which completely solved the problem of the separation of Mo-Cu, Mo-Pb. And make the amount of major impurity SiO2 reduced to the lowest level. These offer the necessary condition for getting the high quality concentrate. Finally, effectively reformed the new style BF flotation-cell, which is better adapt to the demand of the moly cleaning process, and these reformations offer the important guarantee for getting high pure moly concentrate and high recovery.In the practical use of the above achievements, the content of the harmful impurity in the concentrate is apparently decreased. Hence the quality and structure of the moly concentrate had totally changed, and the quality of concentrate all reaches the first class. Among which the ratio of special grade reaches 15.87%(54.5%
