A new complex ferrule fine-blanking technology, combined with the idea of ferrule punching, is introduced in the researching on the pressure rotor and fender ring in this paper. Researching on forming parameters by theoretical analyzing and numerical simulating, and doing experiments, demonstrate feasibility and economy. The new almost doubles material utilization, and has great batch production economic benefits.Based on the performance of rotor and ring fine-blanking, the new technology is formed and optimized. A progressive mold, with special extrusion and fine-blanking structure, is designed to solve the problem of punch intensity and the conflict between V-teeth holder and narrow scrap. CAE is also used to simulate the fine-blanking process in 2D and 3D.The effects of cutting gap and BHF(Blank Hold Force) on deformation are researched mainly, and the stress-strain distribution, material flow are analyzed by plastic deform theory in 2D. The 3D press-stress distribution under correct gap and BHF is simulated in 3D. At last, product is satisfied by testing, and material utilization is increased from less 16% to 30% upwards, and a batch production with steady quality is kept. The new technology is a successful innovative application in the field of tradition fine-blanking, which offers a technology compounding thought for innovation and development in some other domains.
