Fine blanking technology is increasingly used to process automobile parts,and the thickness of the parts is generally less than 8mm.In recent years,more than 8mm thick plate fine blanking parts have gradually become an important demand in the field of auto parts.However,when the thick plate is fine blanking,there are some problems in fine blanking,such as low proportion of bright band on the forming surface,easy to produce tears;large load,easy to damage the die and so on.In this paper,the numerical simulation and experimental method are used to study the failure mechanism and process law of thick plate fine blanking,and the selection principle and method of thick plate fine blanking process parameters are preliminarily established,which are applied to the development of hub mounting plate fine blanking process,providing a certain reference for the application of thick plate fine blanking process.First of all,starting from the analysis of the characteristics of the fine blanking of thick plates,the causes of the failure of the fine blanking of thick plates are explored from the aspects of material plastic failure,work hardening,die gap enlargement,and the failure of the form of gear ring to effectively prevent the transverse flow of materials.Furthermore,from the change of stress and strain in the deformation area of thin and thick plate fine blanking,the failure mechanism of thick plate fine blanking is explored.Secondly,the paper establishes the opposite double ring gear blank holder fine blanking model,compares the difference of the equivalent stress and material flow of the thick plate fine blanking under the opposite single ring gear and the opposite double ring gear,and puts forward the application conditions of the opposite double ring gear blank holder in the thick plate fine blanking.Thirdly,the influence rules of four process parameters on forming quality are analyzed,including blank holder force,counterforce,fillet radius of die and die clearance.The orthogonal simulation experiment is carried out.The order of the influence degree of the above four process parameters on forming quality is found,and the selection principle and method of the process parameters for thick plate fine blanking are preliminarily established.Finally,taking flange hub mounting plate as the fine blanking experiment object,manufacturing the experiment mold in the cooperative enterprise,verifying the para-meters obtained by the above selection method,and achieving good results.The optimization design of the fine blanking progressive die is carried out for the hub mounting plate with a thickness of 12 mm,and the fine blanking test die is successful.The research results of this paper provide a useful reference for the promotion and application of thick plate fine blanking technology.
