| In this paper, on the basic of analyzing the technology and application of AWJ, the type of AWJ cutting machines existed now, a preliminary design on 300 MPa AWJ cutting machine tool that will be used at author's work unit is done. The machine is an economical CNC AWJ cutting machine tool. It is made up of generating system of super high-pressure, system of two-dimensional CNC working platform and cutting head, as well as control system.Generating system of super high-pressure is the key to the machine. The program of pressure boost with reciprocating intensifier is determined in the paper after discussing pressure boost principle and comparing ways of pressure boost. Sealing is a very important part for this system, the paper presents all sealing structures by compare design after studying them, and moreover, the structure of reciprocating intensifier.Two-dimensional CNC platform, cutting head and abrasive supply system form the working part of the machine tool. The platform is the form of dragon-door structure. The complex movement of cutting head in X and Y directions is finished through two connected ball screws driven by two step-by-step motors. It makes cutting head to operate plane outline work pieces. A mechanism made up of a motor and a set of screws can be used to control the position of cutting head in Z direction.The position of abrasive supply is between water nozzle and abrasive nozzle in cutting head, so this machine is a type of post-mixture tool. Finally, the preliminary structure design on working part is performed.Special manufacturer is destined for developing the control system, there is only a simple introduction about it in the paper.The control precision of this machine tool is 0.01mm, and cutting precision 0.1mm.
