Along with the step of world economic globalization and informative going rapidly, the competition ability of manufacturing industry as the national economic pillar estate directly affect the competition ability of country, and even overall economic strength. CIMS technology as a comprehensive modern business management technology rise up from a series of management technology that raise enterprise competition ability, which can make enterprise genuine accomplish product to update rapidly, technical content high, price low, sale service good, promote the level of management of enterprise all-side, and make enterprise never be defeated in intense competition market.This thesis makes the development of the production characters of butadiene as background, which analyzes the present development situation and development tendency of domestic and international process industrial CIMS, as well as the architecture of traditional process industrial CIMS, and introduces a three-layer architecture of manages technology for process industrial automation information according to information integrated present situation and the characteristic of process industry, that is Enterprise electronic system(EES)/Manage information system (MIS) /Manufacturing execution system(MES).This thesis analyses the architecture and function of manufacturing execution system which is process industrial CIMS core emphatically, and introduces the whole development course of manufacturing execution system in production of butadiene produced in Jinxing Chemical Factory of Liaoyang Petrol Chemical Fiber Company CIMS apply project in detail, such as analyses for requirement, preliminarily design, detailed design and implement to project. At the same time, this thesis analyses the crucial technology in Manufacturing execution system(MES) ,such as fault diagnosis, expert system and the real time inspection etc, which introduces the system connect Fieldbus to the enterprise Intranet and Internet and offer an example for process industrial enterprise to implement advanced production management technology.
