Hexogen (RDX) is a important strategic resource which is deposited in many countries at all times. At present it is used broadly and vastly in weaponry as one of the homogeneous explosive which is used frequently, but the cost is high, so it has seriously restrict the modernized advancement of army weaponry. So RDX compound explosive whose cost is low is want to developed and it is a important way to solve the question. Also it is a appropriate method to prepare the low cost, high performance industry explosive. Urea nitrate's origin is widespread, and the production is simple. Urea nitrate is produced by which the RDX plant waste nitric acid react on the urea directly. The production does not have side reaction, and the waste nitric acid does not have to concentrate processing but is used directly, and does not change the RDX production technology. The mixed explosive process which obtains a new mixed explosive is simple. It utilize majority of waste acid from the RDX production process. The acidity pollution is improved obviously. Therefore, this research has important military value and good industrial production prospect.In this study RDX is not separated, but joins the urea cold water solution directly in the RDX oxygenize crystallization liquor. So the RDX and the urea nitrate crystallize together to produces the eutecticum of RDX and urea nitrate mixed explosive.In this experiment, we first simulates test to the existing production technology, obtains the laboratory prepare RDX rate; The existing conditions unchanged, separately studying the nitration, the mature temperature, and the feeding way, the mixed explosive production technology is confirmed. Through fundamental research of this complex physical chemistry process and processing technology research, RDX and urea nitrate eutectic is obtained through the solvent method. But the content of RDX is high (quality content 60~70%) and the detonation performance is not ideal. Therefore through the surrounding crystallization we produce series mixed explosive of RDX and urea nitrate compound. By the chromatogram scanning, the density, the rate of detonation test and measurement, the hit sensitivity experiment, we get the explosive performance of the product:This series explosive's overall performance surpasses TNT, which contents RDX high (30~50%), but the cost is lower than TNT; The product performance that RDX content is low(10~20%) surpass the ammonium stibium explosive. the emulsification powdery and industry explosive. It can be widely applied in the civil enterprise, also can be used as the wartime military substitute explosive. This production technology reduced the acid pollution of environment, raised the acid utilization percent, and reduced the production cost. The preparation of eutecticum has provided a new way to the study for the future to improve RDX, HMX and urea nitrate properits.
