| Levelling is an important processing job in the plate production. It is widely used for all kinds of plate and coils. Because of TMCP technic is used during the rolling processing, cold levlling turns a hard job especially for HSLA.The levelling depends on the metal's elasto-plastic properties when the metal is bent to certain degree, and the elastic recovery will be same. So no matter how much the original curvature is, by the large bend the curvature will be uniform and the metal will be straight. As the straightening procedure is very complicated, and some special stress is induced in coiling and cooling process . Some failure may be easily found in CTL such as plate will curve after cutting or the work roller may be easily worn out or backup rollers may be easily broken.These problems must be solved.The paper has put main effort to measuring 9 rollers-levelling processing parameters. After measurement, some calculations have been taken both by classic theory and FEM simulation method.For more precise analysis of the levelling process failue mode, the FEM model has been founded. The FEM simulation evaluated several equation of the contact between rollers and the load behavior of frame. Some solutions also be given after evaluation.For common engineering problem, this paper establishes a evaluation model to for same kinds of machies. Some relations between the model and leveller's capacity curve have been showed. One of the common model's application is to evaluating the life of backup roller bearing. The other application is to selcting new leveling machine. The paper sets up a frame for leveling processing model. It may be a base point of the study afer that. |
