Up to now, the development of CAD technology in fashion design realm hasn't been attached importance to as it should be in production, as well as application, compared with its use in those systems of fashion patterning, fashion engineering, etc. The Intelligent Fashion Design System (IFDS), which is exactly the subject of this thesis, took a new perspective on research. We would like to provide a relatively free opportunity for designing and high intelligent method so as to help the designer finish the creative process in a friendly and happy Human-computer interaction (HCI) and achieve the originally designed effect at last. The major content of this thesis contains the whole process of the research and development of the entire system, particularly offers function and technique analysis in details aiming at the three modules, which are IFDS, Back-end Database Management System and Telenet Service System, and finally concluded with the entirely computerized system.The thesis is stated by six parts as follows:Chapter one, I pointed out the immaturity of development for the fashion CAD system in designing realm, analyzed the market orientation of IFDS, proposed that the main purpose of this project is to supply reference for the decision maker of companies to get the idea of the design style, and revealed the necessity of empoldering IFDS, from three aspects, which were maturitilization of industry development, stabilization of the style of a certain company and the convenientilization of design.Chapter two, research on the basis of style orientation of fashion design had been accomplished. After the confirmation of the possibility that it could be achieved by computer, the basic formation of every components and the definition of transforming regulation were realized, so did the objective computerized description and application of the IFDS, on the basis of which the database structure of this system was designed, with the combination of characteristics of the delaminating structure of style information.Chapter three, logic design and reserved interface design for this system were accomplished in the orientation of "Psychology Model" theory, by breaking through the old opinion, which was similar to the software of plane design on the basis of completed design database, changing system design frame by gradation thinking, and integrating the designers' experiences in combination of the feature of fashion design itself.Chapter four and five, the function design and its realization of the three modules (IFDS, Back-end Database Management System and Telenet Service System) were analyzed at large. Meanwhile, on the basis of analyzing the critical problem of HCI interface, and building the model expressing the style knowledge and ratiocinating mechanism, standardized HCI interface was accomplished at the main goal of users' favorable feeling so as to press close to the customers using' custom, possess good compatibility and alternation, and finally satisfy the users.Chapter six, in this thesis, effective summary was done in allusion to the evaluation of this system, and wider exploration how to achieve real intelligentizing was pursued.The subject, Intelligent Fashion Design System based on the style notion is one of the projects of the keystone subject of Shanghai, which is the Research on Fashion Design and Information Digitalization, implemented by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. The "simply used" thinking is creative among software of the same category, on the basis of style notion, oriented by intelligent controlling theory, setting the curbstone designers as object and holding the purpose of easy operating. Furthermore, investigating how to transfer the intelligent technique in the computer science into fashion CAD system and improve the intelligence level makes research and development of this subject possess both theoretical and practical value.
