Research On The Design Of Memphis Style Elements In Fashion Clothing

From the four words “food,clothing,shelter and transportation”,it can be seen that clothing plays an important role in our lives,while clothing has constantly evolved and changed with the change of the times.Moreover,the design form has also undergone a long period of development and various schools of design deduce the rich cultural connotation in the baptism and changes of time.Among them,Memphis' s artistic style known for its unique form of expression is leading the current fashion trends and arousing different inspiration in the field of fashion by breaking the old design ideas.Therefore,this paper will research Memphis style elements,apply them to the creation of fashion clothing and add diversified expression language and rich colors to clothing design,as well as provide new perspectives,ideas and references for designers engaged in related research.There are mainly four parts to be analyzed and expounded in this paper.In the first part,it researches the Memphis style.On the one hand,it analyzes its formation reasons,social and cultural background and performance characteristics by collecting and sorting out the information related to Memphis.On the other hand,it carries out the comparative analysis for the using works of Memphis style in various design fields to extract the uniqueness of Memphis elements.In the second part,it studies the using cases of its elements in fashion trends,refines the element inspiration and explores the application of Memphis elements in fashion trends,thus achieve the inspiration and guidance for fashion design.In the third part,it conducts design exploration for the use of Memphis style elements in fashion clothing.In the fourth part,the the previous theoretical analysis and design inspiration are used for practical creation,and the work design practice is conducted.Through the analysis and research of Memphis style elements,it attempts to bring more diversified design concepts and new perspectives to the field of clothing design in this paper.Furthermore,its elements are extended through the application of its style elements in fashion clothing,so as to provide new inspiration and creation to fashion clothing design.
