| This paper based on the past ways of nanoscale powers having been more mature has studied to make use of the electrochemical precipitation method in both chambers that is divided by anion-exchanging membrance,to produce the precursors of zirconia and titanate which are calcined to become the nanoscale powers of zirconia and titanate at high temperature.This method possesses the characteristics of cheap materials,simple equipments,facile operation,easily controlling reaction rate,etc.The method can obtain the nanoscale powers of zirconia and titanate which are uniformly distributed and smaller size and uniform distribution of the particle size.This newly tentative method is provided for making the nanoscale materials.The conditions and mechanisms of forming the nanoscale powers are elementarily discussed and researched from four facets:1 Making use of the electrochemical precipitation method,in the process of preparing the nanoscale powers of zirconia,two systems of preparing solution are chosen.When hydrogen ions in the cathode chamber are consumed continually under the electrolyzing process with the constant current density on the cathode,zirconyl ions are hydrolyze with hydroxide ions produced homogeneously by electrolyzing on the cathode and homogeneous precipitation of zirconium hydroxide are formed.Smaller size and good dispersion and weak agglomeration of nanoscale powers of zirconia are obtained by adding two polyethylene glycol(PEG) dispersants to electrolyte respectively under the electrolyzing process in the anode chamber.2 The electrochemical coprecipitation method can produce the nanoscale powers of titanate.When hydrogen ions in the cathode chamber are consumed continually under the electrolyzing process with the constant current density on the cathode, titanyl and metal ions are promoted to hydrolyze with hydroxide ions released homogeneously by electrolyzing on the cathode.Titanyl ions are formed firtly homogeneous precipitation of titanyl hydroxide and metal ions are formed then no homogeneous precipitation of metal hydroxide at the surface of titanyl hydroxide particles.The highly uniform blending precursors of titanyl hydroxide and metal hydroxide are prepared.Thus small size and good dispersion of nanoscale powers of titanate are obtained.3 In the process of preparing the nanoscale powers of titanate,the system of chloride solution is chosen.Metal ions is chosen fitly to avoid reduction of metal ions on the cathode.The acetylacetone and alcohol are added again in the electrolyte under the electrolyzing process.Spherical shape and small size and good dispersion and uniform distribution of the particle size of nanometer zirconium titanate and magnesium titanate powers are obtained.4 The precursors of zirconia and titanate produced by the electrochemical precipitation method can be formed nanoscale powers of zirconia and titanate with different sizes and crystal groups under different calcined temperatures.With calcined temperatures rising,the size of zirconia and titanate particles will be augmented and crystal group will be perfected,thus making sure of calcined temperatures is the important factor which nanoscale powers of zirconia and titanate will be obtained. |
