Applied Research Of Staple Reinforced Natural Rubber Compound In Rubber Sleeve Of Packer

Packers are primary tools for sectional grouting in pregrouting on ground.The rubber sleeve in the packer seals the borehole when depressed and inflating.However,it is often destroyed in the process of grouting that leads to the failure of sealing ,reduces the grouting efficiency and prolongs the time limit of the project.So,the performance of the rubber sleeve is very critical for grouting.The rubber sleeve is made of rubber and the mechanical performance of the rubber improves significantly when mixed with staple. We try to make better rubber sleeve by adding staple to the rubber in the process so the grouting efficiency can be enhanced and the project can be finished ahead of schedule.The primary contents of this article are as follows:How the hardness,tear strength,tensile-strength of short fibre reinforced compound (SFRC) change along with the changing quatity,slenderness ratio and distribution of staples was studied.Combining the study upper and how the packer is used pratically,the way how staples can be used properly in packer was reserched and the conclusion was testified in the practical engineering.Analysing the mechanism of the broken rubber sleeve by studying and simulating the practical situation in the self-made experimental platform.Comparing the rubber sleeves with staple to those withour staple and analysing the improved efficiency of packers.We get the conclusion that the original cause of the broken rubber sleeve is avulsion when the packer is used in grouting and the compress module of the natural rubber increase greatly after adding staples which distribute along the circle of the rubber sleeve.The rubber sleeves which are modified by adding staples can be used far more times than those without staples in the practical application.
