This thesis conducted a comprehensive analysis of the process of corn starch waste water in recent years. According to the previous principles, the thesis conducted a research on hydrolytic- contact oxidation combined processes in a company in Gansu Province, analyzed the characters of processes and put forward the reference measure . The author of the thesis analyzed some crucial elements of the waste water treatment as well as summarized some commended functioning conditions in the main treatment units. The thesis has provided references data to operation process of this technology in corn starch waste water treatment project .The results of the research are as follow:The author of the thesis suggests that the first sedimentation tank should be reduced, as the hydrolytic reactor have sedimentation function and have higher level removal of organic matter than conventional sedimentation tank. Besides, the SBR reactor can instead of the contact oxidation reactor, reduce the invest of biological stuff, and meanwhile the second sedimentation tank can be leaved out.The experiment conducted shows that the hydrolytic-aerobic processes can treat the high concentration corn starch waste water effectively. The average inlet CODcr concentration of starch wastewater was between 8000-12000mg/L, the outlet CODcr concentration was about 42mg/L, the technology total removal of CODcr was above 98%, the treatment effect is remarkable and the running was stable. The results indicate that the removal of chemical oxygen demand (CODcr) is about 60% on the hydrolytic condition that the pH from 6.5-7.0 and the temperature from 22-30°C, and the removal of NH4+和PO43- is little .The aerobic reactor can adjust pH, offer oxygen, the removal of CODcr is about 50%. The results indicate that the removal of CODcr in contact oxidation reactor is about 80-94% on the contact oxidation reactor that the pH from 7.0-9.0, the temperature from 25-32°C and inlet CODcr concentration from1700-2600mg/L.
