Dyeing and printing wastewater are typecial of high concentration of pollutant, heavy chromaticity colour and changes of quantity and water quality. In the experiment, the research is focus on the treatment of dyeing wastewater by hydrolytic acidifier—biological contact oxidation process, measure the COD,BOD5,pH and chromaticity colour of the waste water and analyze the result and the variation regulations ,in order to find out a viable technique route and get a valid design and controlling parameter of the model. In the experiment, hydrolytic acidifier—biological contact oxidation process starts by the method of feeding and culture. After about 35 days, the biofilm grows well and the removal rate of COD is above 90%.The results of experiment shows:about 15%~20% of the total COD is removed by hydrolytic acidifier, and up to 75% of the total COD is removed by biological contact oxidation pond which plays a important role in the process. In the experiment, the treatment of dyeing wastewater by hydrolytic acidifier—biological contact oxidation process under different operational condition is studied.Under continuous inflow, the most effective and economical HRT is 12 hours when the volume loading is about 2.12kgCOD/m3·d.In this condition, the removal rate of COD is about 92.6%, the removal rate of NH3-N is about 58.9%, and the removal rate of chromaticity colour is about 87.2%.Under intermittent inflow, the most effective and economical operational condition is inflowing twice and aerating 12 hours a day.In this condition, the removal rate of COD is about 94.0%, the removal rate of NH3-N is about 59.5%, and the removal rate of chromaticity colour is about 81.3%. In the experiment, whether operational condition is under continuous inflow or intermittent inflow, each index of the effluent of the process meets the secondary standard of discharge standard for water pollutant for dyeing and finishing of textile industy.
