| In this research,on-the-spot investigations were carried on the status of the production,collection,storage,transport,deliver and disposation of passenger train refuse in southwest of China. Weighing and sampling were implement in trains of different ranks (Fast,K), in compartments of different styles (YZ,RW,YW,CA) ,in different periods (refuse yield fastigium in daytime,non-fastigium in daytime,nighttime)in spring and winter.The investigation results of refuse yield indicate that:the average of whole course yield per unit is 18.59 kg/h and 0.33 kg/km;average yield per person is 13.37g/capita·h and 0.24 g/capita·km;average yield rates in fastigium daytime,non-fastigium daytime and nighttime are 26.75～50.31 g/capita·h , 9.83～23.56g/capita·h and 0.46～5.89g/capita·h respectively,the year yield of passenger train refuse in southwest is 8397.6t, which made a proportion of 4.75% in total yield of whole country in 2006.Analyzing on the samples indicates that:the physical component includes sheets,plastic,food draff, numb and metal,the former three account for 90%～95%, the moisture content ranges from 9.91% to 70.94%,the bulk gravity is 55.66kg/m~3-289.5 kg/m~3, the ash VS the combustible is 1: 9, the wet heat value and dry heat value are about 15000kJ/kg and 25000kJ/kg respectively.Through the analyzing on the yield and characters of refuse, the influence of passenger quantity, season, train rank, compartment rank and running period on the yield and characters of refuse was obtained.The problems in the process of production,collection,storage,transport, deliver and disposation were analyzed,whole processing management scheme was established,which includes source controll, sorting collection,compress storage and transport,classified deliver and multilevel transferring disposation.This paper provide the basic data for the disposition way of passenger train refuse,the whole processing management scheme have important reference value for other areas in our country.
