Bamboo soda pulping black liquor, a kind of unmanageable waste water, ischaracterized by its high COD and chroma. Acidification was used to treat thiswaste water to remove lignin which accounts for the majority of unbiodegradableorganic matter. The pH, the amount of PAM added, the temperature, and theduration time at a certain temperature. The agricultural utilization of solid wastefrom the treatment of bamboo soda pulping waste water was investigated. The resultsruns as follows:1. The optimal conditions for lignin removal was: pH 2~3, the amount of PAMadded 0.1 g/L, the temperature 40~50℃, the duration time at a certain temperature20~30 min.2. The author investigaed the agricultural utilization of the solid waste frombamboo soda pulping liqor by a pot experiment. The results showed that rockphosphate could effectively neutralize the residual of sulfuric acid in the solid wasteto enhance the pH to a level suitable for the agricultural use while phosphorus in rockphosphate could be simultaneously activated at a rate of 53.1 mg/g. Rock phosphateand solid waste should be mixed above the ratio of 1:1 and the mixture should bestored more than 4 days to reach the highest activating level. Further study showedthat phosphorous in rock phosphate was predominantly activated by free acid.3. The effect of the mixture of solid waste and rock phosphate on the growth ofRadish(Raphanus sativus L.) and Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris, ssp. chinensisL.) showed that the capacity of P supplying by the mixture was in between rockphosphate and calciummagnesium phosphate.
