In recent years, the harmful research progresses of the environmental hormone is focused, especially in pesticides. It has producted harmful effects on environmental ecology and human. For the vast use of pesticides, the problem of pesticide residues becomes more and more remarkable, especially the pesticide residues in environment. So it is very important for us to research the systemic multi-residues method for the determination of pesticide residues and improve detecting skills. In this paper, 8 organochlorine pesticides and 4 pyrethroid pesticides in plant samples were detected by microwave-assisted extraction and gas chromatography. The research was focused on these following aspects:1. Sample pre-treatment, determination technologies and their application to pesticide residues analyses were reviewed. It was mainly in introducing the microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) and gas chromatography (GC) technologies.2. A method to determine 8 organochlorine pesticides in traditional Chinese medicines based on microwave-assisted extraction was studied. The organochlorine pesticides were determined by gas chromatography and electron capture detection. The results showed that the optimum setting of microwave-assisted extraction parameters were: microwave temperature: 120℃; microwave time: 8.0 min; microwave pressure: 8.0 atm. The values of recovery were between 85%-117%, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) were between 3.4%-6.1%.3. A method to determine 4 pyrethroid pesticides in traditional Chinese medicines based on microwave-assisted extraction was studied. The pyrethroid pesticides were determined by gas chromatography and electron capture detection. The results showed that the optimum setting of microwave-assisted extraction parameters were: microwave temperature: 80℃; microwave time: 10.0min; microwave pressure: 8.0atm. The values of the recovery were between 80%-108%, the relative standard deviation (RSD) were between 4.4%-5.8%.4. The values of recovery of the 8 organochlorine pesticides and the 4 pyrethroid pesticides in the grain samples were detected using the same analytical methods which were described in the first two chapters. Under the same conditions (includeing extraction, purification and determination), the values of recovery of the 8 organochlorine pesticides were between 83%-112%, the RSD were between 3.6%-6.1%. The values of recovery of the 4 pyrethroid pesticides were between 87%-106%, the RSD were between 4.1%-5.6%. The results showed that these two methods had very good versatility in analyzing organochlorine pesticides and pyrethroid pesticides in grain samples, and provided scientific evidences for other plant samples to detect pesticide residues.
